Mr. Byron Starkweather teaches Chemistry I and AP Chemistry and serves as the science Department Chair.  He has taught at Providence since 2004.  He earned a Master of Science Degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Upon graduation, he went to work in industry doing research and development for a specialty chemicals company in the area of electronics cleaning.  He is certified to teach both secondary mathematics and chemistry.  He has been married for 13 years and has a three-year old son.
