Mr. Ron Pompeo took office in July 2006 and established a vision for Providence School athletics that focuses on the continued excellence of student-athletes and teams. In particular, Mr. Pompeo is committed to enhancing the student-athlete experience by providing students with opportunities to grow in the classroom, in competition, and in the community, thereby building on the existing rich tradition of Providence School athletics.
Mr. Pompeo was selected to the FHSAA Representative Assembly and named District Director for the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association in 2007.
A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Pompeo attended Boston University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Education Degree. He resides in the Orange Park area with his wife, Karen, and son, Regan. His daughters, Jackie and Katie, attend Florida State University and the University of Florida respectively, while oldest son, David, is a recent graduate of Auburn University.
