After teaching in public school for two years, Ms. Melanie Harper began teaching fifth and sixth grades at Providence eight years ago.  She is currently teaching fourth grade reading and spelling.  Ms. Harper attended Grace College and the University of North Florida where she completed her elementary education degree.  She is passionate about helping kids become better readers.  Ms. Harper has a married son and a twenty-one year old daughter who are both Providence graduates.  She is an active member of First Baptist Church.
