Extended Day
Lower School - Application

Extended Day has its own accounting, separate from Providence tuition; therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the following payment policies.

  • The first month’s payment and registration fee must be paid for each child upon registration.

Registration is due August 1, 2007 .

  • Every child must have his/her registration renewed each year.
  • Extended Day payments should be separate from tuition payments.
  • Make all checks payable to Providence School, and addressed: “To the attention of Darlene Perkins/Extended Day Director.” These payments can be made in either the Upper or Lower School office. You may also place your payment in the Extended Day mailbox, located on the wall in front of the Lower School office.
  • All monthly payments must be paid on or before the sixth of each month. Payments received after the tenth of the month will have a $10.00 late fee added to the bill. Your child(ren) will not be allowed to attend Extended Day with an outstanding balance. Report Cards will also be withheld with an outstanding balance.
  • Withdrawals or attendance changes from Extended Day must be done in writing.
  • All withdrawals must be made 30 days in advance. Otherwise you will be obligated to pay for the next month’s payment.
  • Indicate on the bottom of the check your child’s first and last name.
  • Your child(ren) need a snack each day for Extended Day.
  • When there is a ½ day, Extended Day will start at lunchtime. Parents need to provide lunch since the dining hall does not provide lunch on half days. There will be an extra $5.00 charge on these days (per day, per child) to cover activities planned.
  • It is mandatory that parents or guardians of Kindergarten – Second grade students sign their child(ren) in each morning to ensure each child’s safety.
  • All students must be signed out each day by their parents or an adult who has been given approval, listed as an emergency contact, or a note from a parent allowing the child to be released.
  • When there is a school holiday, Extended Day will be closed.

Registration fee is $10.00 per child:

Based on the 180-day school schedule, monthly fees are as follows:

A. AM only = $36.00 PM only = $108.00 AM/PM together = $126.00
B. With second child, 10% discount monthly payments are as follows:
AM only = $32.40 PM only = $97.20 AM/PM together = $113.40

NOTE: If you pay in full, on or before August 1, 2007, you will receive a 6% discount. Payment will be as follows:
AM only = $338.00 PM only = $1,015.20 AM/PM together = $1,184.4

Middle School - Application

Once again, the Providence Middle School is pleased to offer the extended day program for students in sixth through eighth grades for the 2007-2008 school year. Supervision will be provided from 2:40 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on all regular school days.

When making a decision about utilizing extended day, please keep in mind that all upper school students are required to be off campus or under the direct supervision of a parent, teacher, or coach no later than fifteen minutes after their last class. This restriction is in place solely for the purpose of student safety. Faculty members will clear the campus every afternoon. Any student not properly supervised will be taken to the extended day room and a charge of $10.00 will be assessed – regardless of the length of time the student is in extended day.

Any student not properly supervised will be taken to the extended day room and a charge of $ 10.00 assessed, regardless of the length of time the student is in extended day.
  • Extended day will be closed on half days and school holidays. *Depending on the need, the extended day program may be in session on optional half days.
  • Students who are in extended day must be signed out each day by their parent or an adult who is listed as an emergency contact. Students will not be allowed to leave the extended day room to meet their ride.
  • Students who are disruptive or have behavior problems will not be allowed to remain in extended day and parents will be required to make arrangements for timely pick-up.

  • All monthly payments must be paid on or before the sixth of each month. Payments received after the tenth or the month will have a $10.00 late fee added to the bill. Report cards will be withheld for an outstanding balance.
  • Withdrawals or attendance changes from Extended Day must be done in writing.
  • All withdrawals must be made 30 days in advance. Otherwise, there will be the obligation to pay for the next month’s payment.
  • Please indicate on the bottom of the check your student’s first and last name.

Registration fee:

$10.00 per child

Monthly fee:
Single child - $108.00
Second child (10% discount) - $97.20

Yearly fee:
There is a 6% discount if payment is made in full on August 1, 2007.
