On Thursday, Nathan Wilbur, Class of 2000, spoke to our students at Upper School Chapel. Nate is the Director of Wilbur Ministries and will speak to our students about the role of the Jewish people in God’s Kingdom and why we still fight against anti-semitism. Nate’s visit coincided with a visit from the Hate Ends Now Cattle Car exhibit on Thursday, February 20, 2025, and Friday, February 21, 2025, thanks to generous donations from this year’s Stallion Annual Fund.
Students in grades 7-12 were be able to experience the immersive exhibit as well as artifacts from the World War II era. They were able to take the learning that they had in History and English to the next level. The time we spend talking and teaching about the Holocaust invites us to reflect on fundamental themes of life in society and the negative impacts of common realities such as racism, discrimination, and hatred. Supporting the Hate Ends Now initiative will help us take the necessary steps to prevent history from repeating itself.
Hate Ends Now is committed to encouraging people to reflect on the depths of evil while inspiring thoughtful conversations about genocide and indifference as they participate in The Cattle Car Exhibit. They also want to motivate individuals to get involved in preventing hate crimes and maintaining a sense of unity with each other.
