More information will be coming soon regarding the 2019 Summer Device Night.  Device night will offer a special bundle deal to Providence families while taking advantage of the tax-free Florida week. Purchasing at the Microsoft store includes their free Out-Of-The-Box Experience and training.  Students purchasing devices on Device Night will be able to get IT assistance on loading their books the following week.  All books need to be downloaded before the first day of school.

Providence School utilizes a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. All students in grades 9-12 are required to bring a Windows 10 device that meets the recommended minimum requirements stated below. We strongly believe that using technology to engage students in the learning process is a valuable way to prepare our students for their future career endeavors. With Office 365, Canvas Learning Management System, and the integration of new teaching techniques, your child will be better prepared for college and beyond.

For rising 8th graders, parents may purchase a recommended Microsoft Surface as an option for the upcoming school year. They will still use their hardback books in class but will be allowed at the teacher’s discretion to use the devices in class accessing Office 365 and Canvas. Students taking a foreign language in the 8th grade are not required to purchase a device but are allowed to use it in foreign language classes.
