Dear Providence Families,

I hope this letter finds you enjoying the summer with your family. In the interest  of campus security, our security committee has recommended new security procedures be implemented for the upcoming school year.

This communication is intended to inform our Providence community of changes we are making to ensure the safety of everyone on our campus. These new procedures will need your compliance and patience as we work through the process of retraining our community in the interest of safety. Thank you in advance for discussing these safety enhancements with your children and family members and complying with them as the 2018-2019 school year begins.

First, all visitors to campus will be required to go through a sign in process and be badged while on campus. Please enter the school with your driver license in hand so you can be added to our sign in system. Thank you for your patience as you are signed in. Those without a license will not be allowed into the building.

Second, all Providence students, sixth through the twelfth grades, will be required to wear their student identification badges daily around their necks. As in years past, if a student ID badge is lost, you can purchase a replacement badge on our “Forms, Payments & Registrations Page” under “Payments” here for $5.00. Lower school students also will have badges that will be held in their classrooms by their teachers.

Finally, we will be making changes to the carpool drop-off and pick-up process. This is also intended to provide safety to our students. The details of the carpool changes will be coming soon. We appreciate you steadfast attention while in the carpool lines to provided safety to all of our students.

Please remember all these changes are being implemented to continue to provide the safest environment for our children and everyone on our campus. Your partnership and teamwork is appreciated in advance. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Sincerely,

Providence School Administration
