What is Amazon Smile?

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers.

How Does Amazon Smile Work?

When first visiting AmazonSmile, customers are prompted to select a non-profit organization.  You can select Providence School from that list. For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the customer’s selected non-profit organization.

How Much Does Amazon Smile Donate?

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from customers’ eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organizations they select. The purchase price for each item is the sale price, excluding shipping, handling, and gift-wrapping fees, taxes, and service charges, and less any rebates, returns, and bad debt. Certain items are not eligible for and will not result in donations.

I Have Amazon Prime. Can I Still Use Amazon Smile?

Absolutely.  Go to https://smile.amazon.com and log in with your AmazonPrime account information.  Receive all the benefits of being an Amazon Prime customer and donate to our school while you shop.

Can I Use My Existing Account On AmazonSmile?

Yes.  You can use the same account at Amazon.com and AmazonSmile.  Your shopping cart, wish list, wedding or baby registry and other account settings are the same.

Can I Receive A Tax Deduction For My AmazonSmile Purchases?

Donations are made by the AmazonSmile Foundation and are not tax deductible by you.
