COVID Update
We currently have zero Covid-19 positive cases. Please partner with us to have your student arrive to school with their mask every day. We are currently providing over 350 masks a week to students who forget to bring one to school or to those that break, get soiled or lost throughout the school day. We are monitoring the students who repeatedly need a mask upon arrival and potential action may be implemented for those who come unprepared.  Please have your child wear a mask to school and keep one in their backpack as a backup.

We have implemented a new policy when students have 3 consecutive absences/virtual attendance. The student will now be required to provide a doctor’s note to return after 3 days of virtual attendance or absence. Doctor’s notes are STILL required when your child arrives late to school due to an appointment per our student handbook. We appreciate your partnership and we are praying for all of those who have been affected by COVID-19.  Covid-19 Info Webpage

The Storehouse Outreach
The Storehouse, located on the south entrance of our campus,  is a ministry of New Life Christian Fellowship.   Its mission is to be a lighthouse of hope for the local community to access during leaner times. The building is filled with practical resources to access and freely give to the community as needs arise. The items are completely free.

There are appointments every 15 minutes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 2 pm-6 pm.  We have helped over 300 families since opening in November.  This ministry functions as a store so our guests have the dignity of “shopping” although there is no money involved.  We have heard heartbreaking stories of family situations that are in desperate need.  We have been able to give furniture to families sleeping who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor.  Single moms have been able to get clothing, toys, and baby items for their children.  This ministry has been a huge blessing to so many.  We are looking for donations and volunteers.  Please consider giving to this ministry.  Students will be given community service hours for volunteering.  Learn More.

Counselor's Corner

We as school counselors desire to encourage our students in their academic, social & emotional, and future goals pursuits (including college and vocation).  To thrive, our students need to be filled and encouraged physically, mentally, and spiritually.  As part of our curriculum plan, we will continue with our classroom lessons and also send resources to our students and you as parents as we continue

through the year.  Our focus this week was sharing how we all have mental health and it’s important to encourage each other as we go through life.  There are practical steps on how we can promote our own mental health and encourage others and receive support when we are struggling.  We look forward to partnering with you as we work together for our student’s success and overall health.
