Providence COVID Update Providence seems to hold our final number of current positive COVID-19 cases at 13. Many of our quarantined students will be eligible to return to Providence next week and we have not had any new positive cases reported since Monday. We realize there are many differing opinions as to the best way to ensure our students’ safety. Providence is not in the business of telling our families what to do; instead, we hope to partner with our parents in support of keeping all of our students safe. Like two weeks ago, we are asking our community to partner with us regarding Halloween parties. Our hope is that no student attends a massive Halloween party. However, if the party is unavoidable, we ask you to consider having your student wear a mask. Wear a mask and make it a part of the costume! Also, we ask that you please monitor your child’s health over the weekend and into next week. Any student with COVID-19 like symptoms (fever, chills, cough, runny nose, etc.) should remain at home and inform the school nurse for follow-up. Our goal is to keep our students in school. We want our juniors and seniors in school, not quarantined and attending school virtually. We hope you will work with us even if you disagree with wearing a mask. Thank you for your partnership and for trusting the school as it relates to COVID-19. We hope you will join us in keeping our Providence community as safe as possible.

Election Day is Next Week
Next week, Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day. We would love to make that day a Dress Down – RED, WHITE, and BLUE day at Providence. Students should not wear clothing supporting either candidate or party. Instead, we ask students to wear our nation’s colors in support of our political process. Next week, no matter which candidate is selected to be our next President of the United States, Jesus Christ is still on His throne. He tells us in Daniel 2:21 that God sets up kings and deposes them. No matter who our next President is, God does not change. We ask that you discuss this with your child/ren and let them know even if your candidate is not the next President of the United States of America, God is still on the throne. The sun will rise, and the tide will turn the day after the election.

Thank you for speaking calmness into our Providence community and for partnering with us during this pandemic, election, and the social justice issues that are occurring in our country. Thank you for Loving God & Loving People!

2020 Toy Drive
Our Annual Bright Holidays Toy Drive is November 9 – December 3.  The Bright Holidays Toy Drive was established to assist our local, underprivileged children and their families during the holiday season. We will collect new toys and/or love offerings in Chapel on November 12 for middle/high school and November 13 for lower school. More information will be sent in the next few weeks. Thank you in advance for partnering with us in this opportunity to love God by loving others!
