Providence Boys Basketball Wins District Championship

The Stallions won the District Championship with a 75-30 win against University Christian on the February 7th. It’s playoff time, and Providence School had no trouble coming through when it counted. he Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Gornto, who shot 83% from the field en route to 19 points. Thanks to that strong game, Gornto now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. Justice Brown also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The Stallions will face Bishop Snyder in their next game on Saturday, February 14th at 6 p.m. for the Regional Quarterfinal Game.
