A milestone Homecoming Week brings generations of Stallions together for faith, fellowship, and unforgettable memories.
The Providence community came together September 28–October 2 for a memorable 30th Anniversary Homecoming Week and Alumni Reunion Weekend! From traditional volleyball and Powderpuff games to new favorites like cardboard boat races and dodgeball, the week was filled with school spirit, friendly competition, and opportunities to celebrate three decades of Stallion traditions. The festivities culminated with the highly anticipated Homecoming football game, alumni reunions, and the “Lights & Legends” Homecoming Dance.
Homecoming Court
The celebration began Monday with a special chapel featuring speeches from the 2026 Homecoming Court. This year’s court included Miller Cline, Caden Crews, Jackson Ballou, Calvin Gilmore, Hunter Henley, Steven Swank, Braden Hansen, Jenna Faith Cannon, Ailise Johnson, Micah May, Riley Barber, Elleanor Vogelsang, Selah Reed, and Kylie Cline.
Congratulations to 2026 Homecoming King Calvin Gilmore and Queen Riley Barber, who were crowned during halftime of Friday night’s football game against West Nassau! Chosen by their peers, Calvin and Riley exemplify the character, leadership, and school spirit that make Providence special. Despite the rainy weather, Stallion fans filled the stands with enthusiasm and support.
This year’s Homecoming Week was proudly sponsored by Bold Bite Orthodontics and Whit’s Frozen Custard! We are grateful for their generous support of our students and the Providence community. Thanks to their sponsorship, every student received a special Providence beanie—perfect for the cooler days ahead!
Alumni, Come Home: Celebrating 30 Years of Providence
This milestone year was especially meaningful for Providence alumni, with five events over four days drawing more than 465 event attendees, including 145 unique alumni. Every graduating class from 1998 through 2026 was represented, reflecting the lasting connections that unite generations of Stallions.
The alumni celebration began Thursday with Alumni Chapel, one of the most powerful and meaningful moments of the week. Eleven alumni representing 10 graduating classes returned to lead worship and production. Alumnus Ben Smith (’24) delivered an inspiring message that culminated in multiple students making decisions to give their lives to Christ. It was a beautiful reminder that Providence’s greatest legacy is not measured simply in years, but in lives impacted for eternity. Watch Ben Smith’s powerful chapel message.
Friday evening’s Alumni Teal Town brought generations of Stallions together for food, games, inflatables, fellowship, and reconnecting with old friends. Despite moving indoors due to inclement weather, the event was a tremendous success, with 378 registrations!
Special thanks to presenting sponsor Dr. George Bahri of Bahri Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Clinic, Backyard Family Fun for bringing the Kid Zone to life, and Chick-fil-A, Cruisers, Scooter’s Coffee, Tiffany & Co., and MRA International for their generous contributions. We are also grateful for the 31 volunteers, including National Honor Society students, faculty, and staff, whose dedication helped make the evening possible.
The weekend continued with an Alumni Campus Tour on Saturday morning, offering returning graduates and families an opportunity to see firsthand how Providence has grown over the years.
Saturday evening, the Class of 2006 celebrated the school’s largest 20-year reunion to date. On Sunday, the Class of 2016 gathered at Chipshot for its 10-year reunion, complete with pickleball lessons from former teachers Mrs. Hughes and Señora Dill! Together, the reunions welcomed 54 attendees and celebrated friendships that have endured long after graduation.
“Our alumni are a huge part of what makes the Providence community so special,” said Jessi Ray, Director of Alumni Engagement. “Thirty years later, Providence continues to grow, but the traditions that connect generations of Stallions remain. Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone Homecoming so memorable. Once a Stallion, Always a Stallion. Thanks for coming home!”
A Legendary Ending to Homecoming Week
The festivities concluded with the traditional Homecoming Dance, where students enjoyed an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and memories inspired by the “Lights & Legends” theme.
As Providence celebrates 30 years of faith, academic excellence, and community, Homecoming 2026 was a meaningful reminder that while buildings may change and generations come and go, the heart of Providence remains the same—a community anchored in Christ and connected by a legacy that continues to grow.
