Inspiring them...
to go farther than they ever dreamed.
Choir and Musical Theatre is a vital and lively part of daily life at Providence. Students have the opportunity to be involved in elementary, middle and finally, high school classes and productions. There are many opportunities for students to perform within the school, the community, and across the globe. Our students have been selected to perform at some of the most prestigious theaters in America including the Biltmore Estate, Carnegie Hall, and Walt Disney World. Our chorale has been invited to perform in London & Ireland and won the prestigious Gold Circle award while in London.
Choir
Providence Concert Choir is an audition based choir for advanced level singers. This choir performs throughout the year and requires some travel. Performances include the Fall Concert, Veteran’s Day Spectacular, Christmas Night of the Arts, Grandparents Day, an International Trip (London, Ireland, etc.), Walt Disney World, the Biltmore Estate, the Spring Concert, and Providence Graduation.
The Middle School Chorus is comprised of 6th-8th grade male and female students and is an audition based choir. This choir had the unique opportunity of being invited to perform at the Jacksonville International Airport during the Christmas season, and has been invited back annually.
The entry level choir is our 6th grade Exploratory Chorus, where young singers can learn the fundamentals of singing before advancing to the next higher level chorus. Beginning rhythms, instrumentation and patterns are learned in this entry level class to sight reading.
