6th Grade Edible Cell Project

Our 6th graders took Life Science class to a whole new level. They’ve been hard at work building delicious models of plant and animal cells! Using edible materials, they recreated plant and animal cells, blending creativity with hands-on learning. Students labeled and identified every organelle—all while singing the unforgettable “Cell, Cell Song” down the hallway. After creating their masterpieces, the students devoured their cells with pure JOY! This fun activity wasn’t just about creating something tasty—it helped students deepen their understanding of cell structures and functions in an engaging and memorable way. By working with tangible models, they reinforced critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Amazing job, 6th grade! 👏
