Providence Families,
I am excited to announce a K-12 Dress Down on Tuesday, October 14, after the long weekend: Stand Up For Your Faith. We are asking all students to wear a shirt that exemplifies their Christian Faith. US students can wear jeans or uniform bottoms with a Christian shirt; LS students can wear a Christian shirt with an appropriate bottom. Many Providence shirts already have scripture references!
The House and Senate approved a resolution marking October 14, 2025, Charlie Kirk’s birthday, a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk”. He was a Christian who was unashamed of his Lord and Savior and a patriot who promoted debate. We want this to be a reminder for all of our students to be Boldly Christian.
Our theme this year is “United in Christ”, John 13:34-35, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” The political landscape in our country is so divisive, but more important than any individual’s political views is our unity in our shared Christian Faith. We are asking students to wear Christian and faith-based shirts in lieu of anything that supports specific political parties or candidates.
Sincerely,

Tim Anderson, Ph.D.
