The 4th graders learned and talked about Veterans Day. Each class read the story, “America’s White Table” by Margot Raven, to learn about white tables set up in every dining hall of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force bases. This simple table serves a visual reminder of the sacrifices made by men and women who served our country so bravely. It also reminds us how their sacrifices impacted the families left behind. We challenged ourselves to find ways to honor veterans not only this week but every day!
