COVID Update
We currently have three Covid-19 positive cases. Please partner with us to have your student arrive to school with their mask every day. We are currently providing over 350 masks a week to students who forget to bring one to school or to those that break, get soiled or lost throughout the school day. We are monitoring the students who repeatedly need a mask upon arrival and potential action may be implemented for those who come unprepared.  Please have your child wear a mask to school and keep one in their backpack as a backup.

We have implemented a new policy when students have 3 consecutive absences/virtual attendance. The student will now be required to provide a doctor’s note to return after 3 days of virtual attendance or absence. Doctor’s notes are STILL required when your child arrives late to school due to an appointment per our student handbook. We appreciate your partnership and we are praying for all of those who have been affected by COVID-19.  Covid-19 Info Webpage

4th Grade Wax Museum
Over the last few weeks, the 4th Grade students were  busy working on a biography research project on a famous historical figure. Students research a person, write a biography report, and “be” the person in a living wax museum. The culminating part of this project is an amazing Wax Museum where students dress up as the person they have learned about and stand still, like a Wax Museum, until someone walks up to them and presses their button.  Due to COVID-19, we were unable to do this in person but are creating a video instead. ACT and SAT Information and Preparation
College entrance exams are often an important part of the student’s application for colleges during their senior year.  We encourage students to take the SAT after completing Algebra 2.  Typically, this is the summer or fall after sophomore year. Please see this flyer for more information about the SAT.  Many students also chose take the ACT.  This booklet published by the ACT is a helpful guide that summarizes the college entrance exam process. The current and most updated exam dates and registration deadlines can be found here for the SAT and here for the ACT.  Colleges and Universities take either exam equally and either exam can help qualify a student for Bright Futures.
