Nine Athletes Compete at State Swim Meet

Providence Swim & Dive team successfully completed their season at the State Championships meet Saturday. Nine athletes competed in Ocala.  The highlight of the meet was Senior Caroline MacDonald breaking 2 school records on the 200 free and 500 free, placing 12th and 4th respectively.

The girls 200 Medley and 200 free relays with Sophia Johnson, Katie Hirsch, Claire Justo and Caroline MacDonald placed in finals (top 16). Claire Justo is a 7th grader.  This was unprecedented!

Sophia Johnson and Katie Hirsch also competed in their individual event- the 100 breaststroke with season best times. 

On the boys side, our seniors Josiah Kilby, Kj Stringfield, Henry Baranek, and Brandon Ringer competed in the 200 Medley and 200 free Relay placing 20th in both. Brandon Ringer also swam the 100 fly placing 17th.

Our Diver, Haley Aschenbrenner, also placed 4th in the State.
