Biology Class Pig Dissection

Biology I students participated in their fetal pig dissection today!

Working in groups and following specific instructions, students carefully dissected and observed the organs and tissues of the pig. The fetal pig is a good choice for dissection because the size of the organs makes them easy to find and identify. It is also a fascinating dissection because much of the internal anatomy resembles humans!
