City Council Recognizes Providence Stallions for Historic State Title Season

The Jacksonville City Council honored the Providence Stallions Boys Basketball tonight for bringing home the 2026 FHSAA Class 2A State Championship!

This championship season was truly historic, marking the first boys basketball team from Jacksonville to win a state title in their hometown at UNF Arena.

Head Coach Jim Martin addressed the council and thanked city leaders for their leadership, support, and continued investment in making Jacksonville such a great community.

It was a special evening celebrating an unforgettable season, a championship culture, and a team that represented Providence and the city of Jacksonville with excellence both on and off the court. #GoStallions
