The fourth grade students have been studying a chapter on the moon. In this chapter, they have learned about the moon’s properties, including the moon’s light, surface, movement, phases, eclipses, and the origins of the moon. While they were studying the moon’s surface, our fourth graders researched, planned, and constructed models of the lunar surface. The students had a great time working in groups to create their models.
As our fourth grade students learned about the origins of the moon, they discussed how God was there when the moon was created by examining Genesis 1:14-19 and the fourth day of creation. It was a lesson on faith, realizing that Christians have their faith first and foremost in God and His Word.
