Providence School utilizes a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. All students in grades 9-12 are required to bring a Windows 10 device meeting the recommended minimum requirements stated below. We strongly believe that using technology to engage students in the learning process is a valuable way to prepare our students for their future career endeavors. With Office 365, Canvas Learning Management System, and the integration of new teaching techniques, your child will be better prepared for college and beyond.
For rising 8th graders, parents may purchase a recommended Microsoft Surface as an option for the upcoming school year. They will still use their hardback books in class but will be allowed at the teacher’s discretion to use the devices in class accessing Office 365 and Canvas. Students taking a foreign language in the 8th grade are not required to purchase a device but are allowed to use it in foreign language classes.
We are proud to announce a private online Microsoft Store offering premiere pricing to our families allowing devices to be shipped directly to your residence. This online store is currently in preview mode and will be operational soon. Currently, you can make purchases at the Town Center store and receive the same premiere pricing. Just let them know you are a Providence parent or student.
