Ken Jefferson has served on the Board of Directors of Providence School since August 2014. He also serves on the Security Committee.

Ken is a native of Jacksonville and graduated from Ribault High School in 1975. Ken attended St. Thomas Christian University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Theology.

As a 24-year veteran of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Ken has served his community in many areas as an officer in leadership roles from 1986 to 2010, including detective work and recruiting and training police officers. Ken was also JSO’s Public Information Officer for five years, serving as the face and voice of the Sheriff’s Department.

Ken has received many awards and accolades throughout the years. Among these are the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award for his outstanding contribution to our nation’s communities through unselfish dedication and leadership. He also received the Public Information Officer of the Year in 2006-2007 and in 2007-2008, the only person to receive this award consecutively.

As CEO and founder of the Jefferson Consulting Group, Ken has traveled extensively conducting workshops and seminars. He also served as an Expert Crime Analyst for WJXT TV 4 and appeared daily to offer expert advice and tips on crime prevention. In addition, Ken has also been a contributing author to the Florida Star newspaper.

Ken and his wife Rhonda have five children. Rhonda has served as President of our Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP), and their youngest son Jonathan graduated from Providence. Ken and Rhonda faithfully serve as members of Impact Church.
