Jimmy Johns and his wife, Iris, are lifelong residents of Jacksonville, Florida. Jimmy attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, for two years. Then, he served in the United States Coast Guard for four years before completing his college degree at the University of North Florida as an accounting major in 1975.

Jimmy has served as Comptroller in both “for profit” and “not for profit” organizations prior to becoming Comptroller for New Life Christian Fellowship of Jacksonville, Inc. in 1993. Jimmy is part of the New Life team that assisted Bishop Zink in fulfilling the vision of developing Providence School as the outstanding Christian School it is today. He continues to serve New Life and its subsidiaries, including Providence School, as a member of the Board of Directors.
