Providence’s Beauty & The Beast Applause Award Nominations Announced

Last month’s presentation of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast truly was a performance to remember. All of the students did an amazing job showcasing their talent to a record-breaking audience. From the start of the show with “Belle” to “Gaston” and the invitation to “Be Our Guest” followed by the inspirational “Beauty & The Beast” each and every performance was fantastic. We are so grateful to everyone who played a role in this amazing performance, Mr. Giddens, the Fine Arts faculty & staff, and the parent supporters and sponsors who made this special show possible.

Applause Awards

For the first time, Providence’s performance of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast was adjudicated by the Applause Awards. The applause awards recognizes everyone from set and costume designers to lead actors and actresses, the Applause Awards is a true celebration of all things musical theater. Honoring excellence in high school productions is just the beginning. This program also advocates for the importance of the arts by creating access for students and schools in our community. Every year thousands of dollars in scholarship money is awarded to students across the state. This year’s annual musical was nominated in several categories.
