Thank You, SAF Donors!
Dear Providence Families,
As we approach the end of 2022, I want to personally share some thoughts that have come to mind through the many lenses I see through. Many of you know me as Mr. Gray, High School Principal. But did you also know that I’m a Proud Providence Alum from the class of 2006? That’s right! Just like the students here today, I walked these halls, sat in these seats, wore the uniform, and enjoyed the Providence experience as a student. I am so grateful that my parents invested in my education here at Providence which helped during my formative years to mold my mind and character into the man I have become.
I’m also known by a few other names around these halls that help me to see Providence the way I do. I’m Mrs. Gray Toro’s husband! My wife, Carolina, is a 4th Grade Teacher in Lower School. She is thrilled to have joined the faculty full-time following the birth of our 3rd child and loves her students and her lower school colleagues. I’m also the dad to two current 2nd Generation Stallions: Robin (1st Grade) and Archer (Kindergarten) and I frequently hear “Hi, Archer’s Dad” as I walk down the hall in the A-wing. Seeing this school through their eyes each day brings such a book-end perspective to what I do in High School. I have such respect for their teachers and assistants who make the early years of education effective and fun at the same time.
I share all these hats that I wear to say that I truly am someone who knows and understands Providence from just about every angle. I see the school through many eyes and hear many voices sharing their experiences every day. One final hat that I am also proud to wear is that of a supporter. My family and I are dedicated to financially supporting Providence, along with so many of you, through the Stallion Annual Fund. We feel strongly that it is our duty to give back every year to a place that means so much to us: to our past and to our future. On behalf of every single student here today and those who will walk these halls for years to come, thank you to everyone who gave to the 2022 Stallion Annual Fund. I wish you and your family a safe and healthy holiday season as we give thanks and look forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sincerely,
Michael Gray ’06
