ACSI Creative Writing Contest Awards

Four people standing in front of a wall holding an ACSI award for creative writing contest.

Haley Pacacha’s short story, “The Shadow”, was selected to be featured in the 2023 ACSI International Young Authors Anthology publication. This year, judges evaluated over 2,200 entries from more than 160 ACSI member schools. With just 94 notable superiors selected for the book, Haley’s entry is considered to be in the top 4% of all submissions!

ACSI Creative Writing Awards

Lower and Middle school students participated in the ACSI Creative Writing Festival last year.  In addition to celebrating the talents of emerging young writers, the Creative Writing Festival provides students with the opportunity to receive valuable feedback as they are encouraged to develop their writing skills.

Students submit creative writing pieces for evaluation. Two judges, provided by participating schools, evaluate each work submitted based on a rubric. Students are awarded based on their scores and receive evaluative comments from each judge.  Students in Grades 4–12 from ACSI member schools may participate.

The following students submitted work into the ACSI Creative Writing Festival and received awards! Congratulations to these students for their great writing pieces!

Superior Awards:  Anna Kathryn Britt and Haley Pacacha.
Excellent Awards: Madison Chin, Miruna Chiribau, Emma Henderson, Kristen Makhlouf, Arianna Myers, and Ellie Vogelsang
